Hi Robert, thank you very much for all your suggest that I will try to follow. Right now, I'm a bit stopped with Edupup.
I hope to develop again soon, but my paying work are asking for me so I don't have anymore too time to dedicate Edupup. As for the screenshot, I can remember I found that image on the net and I asked to a russian guy the permission to use it. I never received answer so I used it.
I believe it is not a big issue for Warner Bross; it is just an image for an opensource project downloaded from thousands of people with 0 donations ;), so ... :)

I have just been to the nursery where Edupup + Gcompris is being trialled by 30 pre-schoolers (3-4 year olds)

Tuxpuck - too difficult
Supertux - too far over their heads
Ri-li - same as above. I was being conceted putting that one in as no one had made a pet of it. It was my one and only package contrribution.

Is EduPup still an active, developing release? The web site seems to be down.

Thanks ttuxx.

I noticed some feedback from sidders concerning the various games and how the kids used them. Does anyone else have observations or experience with EduPup that they would like to share?

I have been in touch with him, but a while ago. I tried to set up a GIT server and then use a free one, but couldnt get it to work so we could work on it together.

I was inspired by Edupup and made Hansamben (still waiting for an appropriate name). Stuck it on the forum and it evolved. This is the original thread:

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=41454

Then it turned out as:

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=49124

Forget the pre-release in the title, there are so many ideas turning up on the forum, its really a constant WIP.

I downloaded EduPup and Hansamben and will be trying them out with my kids (5 yrs old and 3 yrs old) soon.

I work for a school system and I really see a need for programs like these that can utilize old hardware that would normally go to waste.

It could save a small fortune. I have it in a couple of nurseries and am going to approach the local primary.

Good. I have similar plans. That's why I'd like to tweak EduPup so the programs will be appropriate and pertinent for their grade/skill levels.

Next time I bootup 2.14X I'll compile some kids games, Probably the ones used in this release, I think 2.14X would make a great base, better than 3.0 since it has a older kernel, but newer updated backend.
