Very simple, small wallpaper, should look ok with bright wm/gtk2 themes.
As far as I understand, CC0 license is the closest thing to "public domain"

A lot of posts on this thread don't display the background/desktop - so could I ask all previous posers to check their posts and add an actual pic "locally hosted" in size of 700 pix wide?That way we get to see it - and no broken links?

Great collection! Thanks for the effort.

I just viewed them in order of size and am quite impressed with the smallest one - nr.gif - only 35Bytes! It relies on the inbuilt expansion capabilities of the wallpaper displayer to expand it as a background.

It was a very clever way to save space on a tiny pup.

Here are a couple of simple wallpapers made using the .svg logo.
I hope you all don't mind 1080p, although it will be trivial to scale and crop a wallpaper like this to your desired resolution.

Hi all,

following musher0's request, I felt inspired to create some wallpapers for Puppies and Dogs.

They show the face of a dog named Chico, who was killed by German authorities in April of this year.
For me it symbolizes what those in power do to us all.

The dog was obviously abused for ten years, for his whole life, and finally found while his two owners were dead.
German authorities claim, the dog had killed them both by biting, but I can't imagine how the injuries should have looked like.
Then the authorities confiscated the dog and killed him shortly afterwards, despite 290.000 people signed a petition to not let them kill him. Some people wanted to give him a new home.
German authorities were at fault beforehand, because someone reported the owners to them for abusing the dog, and they did not intervene.

If Chico really killed his owners, they deserved it, like Christine Wels, a long time horse abuser, who got killed by a horse in the end.

Size limit is max 256KB.
Max image width is 700 to show.
If wider, it will attach as a download.
