This is a logic game, lining up 5 balls of like color to get them off a grid, to keep the grid from filling up. Made for 1024x768 or better screen resolution, but also has an 800x600 setting.
Run via Menu>Fun>5ball

Changes from v0.41:
2009-05-05 5ball 0.43
-refraned from hard-coding text size for scoring
-adds a couple themes - high contrast and one for wide-screen distortion

I just re-uploaded it. Glasses not required as I did remove it, then upload again.

Something strange going on? I had it working on my computer but, as you say, the .pet doesn't show scores...I'll have to do a bit of sleuthing to ascertain why.

@mawebb88,

I think I've resolved it this time...I've tried on two different computers & hi-scores works with both.

Were getting there! No message box any longer but on my EeePC901 at the end of a game there was no offer to save the score. Whoops in this case my score was 0 (I was just randomly playing), So ran it again this time making sure I scored and this time I got the high scores save box, Many thanks.

Thanks ttuuxxx, I usually do the same to reduce the size...but I must have been in pixie-land when packaging this one! I wonder why the original developer included so many redundant icons, with no discernible variation?

there are a lot of colour blind people out there who consequently can't join the fun. if your are looking to improve and upgrade this 5ball i suggest an option that allows for different coloured shapes, eg triangle, star, pentagon, cross, etc. this configuration is in another version i have played somewhere.

this one would be good for children but better would be as well, a say one brown puppy for a single set of icons, and also have a red rooster set, a black cat set, a white mouse set, a purple cow set, etc. would also then be colour blind friendly.
