pekwm *new window manager pakcagefor puppy*

#1 Post by darkerror05 »

pekwm is a light and fast window manager. It sports features like windowsticking and tabbed windows. It's very customisable. There are loads of themes(I will upload some later). It doesn't have a panel but you can use another one like fbpanel if you wish(I personally like lxpanel but it doesn't play nice with a normal puppy). The menu isn't great because I was to lazy to manually make one. But there is a XDG menu package(also coming soon) Just install pekwm as a alien package, exit X(ctl-alt-backspace), type "xwin pekwm" (without the quotes), and hit enter.
More info at pekwm.org

Thanks for the package, I mentioned to you already how much I like pekwm. But adding my post here might bump it up a bit.

Hello, all you pekwm lovers!

I've uploaded a pet of the recent pekwm 0.1.11 here:
http://dpup.org/musher0/

I've also briefly presented it here, on the dpup beta 5 thread:

(+/- two thirds of the page).

Enjoy!

there was an older pet for pekwm
with jwm2pekwm script inside
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 90&t=25104

though you need to make some change in that script
to have pekwm setting menu also

there is a line for import menu.base file into new menu in your script
so i copied original pekwm menu and renamed it into menu.base
and have both puppy and pekwm menus

i also like nimbus theme for gtk and pekwm ( xfwm4)
