which media player is the best?

I'm making my own remaster of puppy, starting with skinnypuppy. And now the time has come to add a media player. Here's what I need it to do;
-play all windows file formats
-play flash videos
-play all popular audio formats
-play online radio
-have a browser plugin
-it has to be preferably small, and definately simple!!

I've sorta tried a couple, Heres what I thought;
-gxine, everything works, but it is so.. inelegant i guess. and not straightforward for some things.
-xine-ui, very buggy, freezes a lot. don't like the filebrowser.
-mplayer, havn't tried this. not sure what libraries to get.
-vlc. all works, but it's so big!
-xfmedia, this one really appeals to me, but it freezes when playing cds. Which is a bit of a showstopper. And is there a browser plugin?

So which one do you use, and why?
