I can not find a place as a file, so seems to be in memory.

The way to have it stored is to make a bookmark for a location.
The bookmarks are stored in /root/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/Rox-filer/Bookmarks.xml

ROX is pretty neat.

Everything described in xml files (textual).

I've recently started messing around with having different wallpapers on each desktop and different icons as well via changing PuppyPin (~/Choices/ROX-Filer) http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=871518#871518

Having learnt a little recently about the puppy pin I also discovered you can turn it off and run the likes of a animated desktop background. For this one - move the mouse and it creates water ripples http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=22394

To turn the pinboard off in a terminal wnidow

# rox --pinboard=

To turn it back on again

# rox --pinboard=/root/Choices/ROX-Filer/PuppyPin

Hi fabrice_035;

The recently used file is called recently-used.xbel. It should be in the hidden directory .local/share of your HOME directory

What other idea? You already had a good idea and bigpup had the same idea: Rox stores the "Recently Visited" list in memory.

Wondering if you need to run (in a terminal window)

rox -x

to 're-examine' the files after making any manual changes.

I read the question wrong. recently-used.xbel is used to record recently opened files, not recently visited places. bigpup is right, it is stored in memory. After a reboot the Recently Visited menu item is empty.

Hello all.

No luck either with
Code:
lsof | grep ROX | grep cache
BFN.

regards

I rescued this topic because I need to access the list of "recent opened folder"

They are not in /root/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/ROX-Filer/Bookmarks.xml
They are not in /root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel

Where is that list of recently accessed folder?
(I only know that at shutdown, the list is clean)

I hope someone in this forum knows how to rescue that list and share
Thanks!

As several people have said before, this list appears to be stored only in memory, not in a file. It is erased when ROX shuts down. So I guess if the list is not in your ROX Filer's bookmarks menu anymore, it's lost and there is no way to get it back.

Bookmarks will save and show up after a restart of Rox.

try this:
Navigate to a bunch of places you want saved.
Click on bookmark icon.
Select add new bookmark.
Close Rox file manager.
Open roX.
Click on bookmark icon.

If you want to add to the list just do an add new bookmark after doing the navigation.
