here is the SFS. Just remove the fake .gz.
Hello Rainer,

thanks for making the brother-sfs available.

I was using Rerwin's upgrade
lupusuper4plus
based on Pemasu's kernel 3.9.9
# uname -a
Linux puppypc 3.9.9-upup #1 SMP Fri Jul 12 21:50:30 EEST 2013 i686 GNU/Linux

I tried installing your brother-sfs

from the ~/download I copied the brother-sfs
to /root
to /home
to /home/lupusuper4plus

I installed the brother-sfs
by double clicking as well as using sfs-load-on-the-fly from inside
~/download
/root
/home
/home/lupusuper4plus
Each option had a negative result: no-printing & no-scanning

The best SCANNER-result
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04f9, product=0x0270) at libusb:001:007
but
# scanimage -L
No scanners were identified.
and so
xsane didnot find a device

After this exercise I used debbi.pet by rcrsn51 and installed the brother*.deb files
Scanning and Printing were both negative.

So I ran out of options
and will try some other puppies

Since I don't have access anymore to my old RSH account and therefor I'm unable to change the topics title to 'discontinued', I'm going to post here:

THIS IS NOW DISCONTINUED AND NOT SUPPORTED ANYMORE!

All my work done is by now combined and continued into T.O.P.L.E.S.S.
RSH

"you only wanted to work your Puppies in German", "you are a separatist in that you want Germany to secede from Europe" (musher0)

No, but I gave my old drum kit away for free to a music store collecting instruments for refugees!

unrpm-64bit for 64-bit Operating systems

#43 Post by mikeslr »

Hi Lazy Puppy,

My apologies for reviving your discontinued thread. Well, what did you expect from a forum member all of whose ancestors came from Transylvania.

This is just to point to my discussion regarding using PaDS under 64-bit operating systems.http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 751#940751

Edited to point to 5th rather than 1st post of thread. Suggest reading first post, anyway.

Happy New Year.

#46 Post by ITSMERSH »

Hi.

There will be an updated package soon. It's version is 1.1.2 and it comes with some useful extensions and additions. I'm going to open a new topic for PaDS 1.1.2 (and place a link here) since I can't edit my RSH posts of this here PaDS 1.0.4 topic.

RSH (ITSMERSH = It's me, RSH)

Edit: PaDS 1.1.2
