Xenialpup32 for Wine and games.
Xenialpup64 for what ever else I want to do.

Why do you do it this way?
Xenialpup32 just seems to run stuff better under Wine 32bit.

I wonder if the kernel being used would have any affect

I have had changing the kernel fix problems in other Puppies with hardware issues.

Xenialpup64 7.5 is more about supporting the newest hardware.
Could be something in the kernel not fully supporting your Nvidia hardware.
Try using an older kernel.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

I can and have installed the Nvidia driver successfully. It seems that the 32bit compatibility of the 64bit Nvidia driver (for wine) is the sticking point.
Got the Xenialpup64 7.5 32bit compatibility sfs loaded?
