How to put a color emoji in the taskbar?
Yep yet-another how-to request because Japanese. I've got emojione and noto prioritized/working in browser tabs and desktop but in the taskbar they're still boxes when used in titles of tabs. Mew.

Partial Solution
I've got a way to control the font in the taskbar. Menu>Desktop>JWMDesk Manager>ScreenFont>Install Fonts. Internet: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto. Download, unzip, install one. Menu>Filesystem>Rox. I used Roboto Mono. Next find Menu>Document>Geany Add/Edit the configuration file /root/.jwm/jwmrc-theme:
Terminal: fc-cache -fv
Savepup...
Menu>exit>restart graphical server.
Open browser (I'm on Google Chrome) and visit Twitter user with unicode regional indicator flag emoji in username> Now box-glyphs are gone in taskbar. I haven't found font that DISPLAYS the emoji there yet. Will post if I find one.
I just hated seeing those boxes !!
Code: Select all
<TaskListStyle>
<Font>RobotoMono-Regular-10</Font>
<Background>##333333</Background>
<Foreground>#ffffff</Foreground>
<active><Foreground>#ffffff</Foreground>
<Background>#D64937</Background> </Active>
</TaskListStyle>
Savepup...
Menu>exit>restart graphical server.
