TP-Link TP WN610G works in Puppy 2.13 Subject description: Atheros Chipset based ... and it was a cheapo
I have the mentioned PCMCIA card running in my '96 Siemens Scenic 510 Laptop. Right now I am using only WEP encryption, might try the WPA-supplicant later on. I am using the madwifi-connect script right as it came, with some adaptations to my network setings. So this card, having cost something like 25 EUR including s&h should not be very difficult to set up under different environments.
Only issue is a known one with the PCMCIA controller of my laptop, that forces me to reinsert the card at boot, and causes system hang-ups in irregular intervals. I had the same trouble with the wired ethernet card, and under win98, also.
