How to have Korean alternate language?

#1 Post by Hetejas »

I am running Xenial puppy 64 ver 7.5
KDE
JWM 2.3.7

And I need to be able to do Korean sometimes. My wife is Korean and needs to be able to type, read, and print Korean documents.
Google searches are no help, as they either ask me to do a total install in Korean or refer to Ubuntu commands that I cant find.
I tried Barry's MoManager and it stops right at the beginning.
Setup looks like it only allows a localization change and I want to leave that alone. I want an alternate language.

So, is there a method to install language packs and where is it ?

Thank you ally, it looked like the answer, but Korean was not there. Dang it !

This is hard to believe as I think that slacko and precise support Korean.

Maybe TOP could help with the reading and typing, if all else fails? I discovered it only a few days ago. Printing might be the biggest problem. It's worth a try.

Maybe this might come in handy: https://www.branah.com/korean

There's also the Korean IME extension for Chrome/Chromium that allows you to input Hangul online.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Editing to add that if you're still having problems with Hangul input in Xenial you could try TOP for reading and typing documents and use Xenial for printing if necessary.
