I know it's a strange question; but they told me to ask, at FireFox help forum.
The problem is that since FF updated to v.57 - all videos on all sites - are stuck on first frame (so it seems), and won't play.
Did someone ask about this problem?

I disagree. It runs faster, smoother and uses less RAM for me (1.8 Ghz Intel Duocore, 3 Gig of RAM) than Chrome (which was faster and used less memory than the old Firefox for me). It hasn't gone in to memory leak mode and caused me to have to kill it yet, which Chrome managed to do every couple of days or so.
No trouble with videos. Sound needed apulse.
Netflix had to download a bunch of stuff widevine stuff, but runs fine now.
Was easily able to set it up to have all the program, profile and cache files directly on the hard disk instead of in the save folder.
So far, it has been a huge improvement for me.
Running Debian Dog Stretch, so YYMV.

I'm having this problem with tahrpup6.0.5. No html5 video plays with firefox57.0. I tried FF in safe mode, tried creating a new profile with everything set to default values, tried refreshing FF -- didn't help. Flash video still works in FF, and html5 video works in Opera. Let us know if you get it working.
