I mean a CD - with the Puppy I use every day, with all the software I've installed and the settings etc.
I'm pretty sure I've encountered it in the past; and should have done that already.
I couldn't find it now; and don't even know how this process is called.
Is it possible?

Do a remaster running from this Puppy with everything on it.

Most Puppies come with the remaster program.
Remaster Puppy live-CD

Just carefully follow the steps in the program.
It will make a new Puppy, with everything you want in it.

What about all the portable and sfs files etc? Does it save them?

If the portable sfs files are loaded when doing the remaster it will save them to the remaster.

That will increase the size of the remaster.

Take a look at this thread.

To summarize, if you want an exact copy instead of a generic copy "like a new puppy, but with your new software added", you need to copy over /root and /etc manually during the remaster.
