Subject description: window doesn't open

Hi, I installed Ninja IDE and when I click on it in the menu a window doesn't open. Are there any other IDE's I can try? Or maybe could you help get ninja working? I'm running Tarhpup.

Where did you get the Ninja IDE from? Got a link?

You can try to start Ninja IDE from the terminal and see what errors it gives, might just be missing libs.

Geany is quite brilliant. It's worth learning what it can do.

So you are right. Ninja-IDE needs LibQtWebKit. Trouble is that when I try to install it (or anything) in the PPM it tells me I don't have enough space. In the taskbar the green hard drive says I have gigs free tho.

Can you figure it out?

Ok I got Ninja-IDE installed! The PPM was acting funny with auto install. I had to download the .deb file and install it manually.

Still running from multisession CD?

Probably running out of RAM. Puppy loads its operating system and save file into ram, how much ram does the computer have? You can see ram useage in Menu-->System-->Hardinfo hardware information

If its running out of ram you would need a swap partition on a hard drive (might be able to make one on USB but would be slow)

Does the computer have a hard drive?

Excellent!

Disregard what I wrote previous, was taking a stab in the dark.
