Sqlite3 MIME-type

Flash,

Please feel to move this thread in a more appropriate section. I would have
posted it in the DataBase section, but we don't have one?

TIA.

Hello all.

In DPupStretch7 at least, Puppy does not offer a MIME-type for sqlite3.
Maybe your Pup doesn't have it either?

So you're sort of "stuck up the proverbial creek without a paddle" if you
wish to open a sqlite3 DB from xdg-open or the ROX-filer.

This little pet tries to solve this inconvenience. Please note that, ATM, it
will work only if you've installed the Mozilla Sqlite Manager plug-in from
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... te-manager
in a Mozilla browser (Light, SeaMonkey, FireFox, and the like).

The irony of it is that this Mozilla sqlite3 plugin will open any sqlite3
history file, even one from another web browser. ;)

If someone knows how to associate this MIME-type with the sqlite3 CLI
executable that some Puppies have in /usr/bin -- or a sqlite windowed
utility -- , please ring in! (Essentially to remove the irony! :) )

The attached pet also contains BarryK's hard-to-find launcher for the
Mozilla Sqlite Manager plug-in. Mutatis mutandis, his script can be used
to launch other major Mozilla plugins directly.

Constructive comments welcome, as usual.

Enjoy!

Great stuff!

I hunted around, found that the developer of sqlite-manager is now on github:
https://github.com/lazierthanthou/sqlite-manager

And frontpage:
http://lazierthanthou.github.io/sqlite-manager/

It has commits only 25 days ago.

I'm thinking of making it into a pet, for inclusion in next Quirky.
