Yara is updated to version 2.1: new kernel and software upgrade. The most mac-ish puppy is here. In http://yara-osx.weebly.com, of course.

I downloaded the Yara-OSX-2.1 ISO yesterday, and made "frugal" installs. I tried it on 3 different AMD machines. Unfortunately, I had no luck. Yara bootup failed on every machine. As Yara boots, it just goes into some sort of panic near the end of booting. I tried "frugal" installs on USB sticks, and then on an external hard drive. Nothing worked. There is a problem somewhere in Yara's initrd/vmlinuz.
Next, I burned the Yara-OSX-2.1 ISO to a "CD", and tried then booting it again on the 3 different machines. Yara-OSX-2.1 did the same thing. It just fails at the same point in the booting process.
In a last effort, I re-downloaded the Yara-OSX-2.1 ISO, to make sure the first downloaded ISO was not bad. I repeated all of the above. Once again, with both "frugal" and another "CD" burn, Yara-OSX-2.1 just fails to boot up.
Pity, I would have liked to seen & tried this OS.

Speaking of 'mac-ish' I do not know how to boot this on a mac properly, i can do this with most OSes with Ubuntu/Debian respectively, but I have a hard time with most puppy derivatives. I am using a Macbook Late 2009 Unibody running OSX El Capitan 10.11.6, rEFInd is my Bootloader (Yes, SIP is removed). I tried this on a DVD and on USB with Unetbootin and Mac Linux USB Loader, neither helped. i am sorry for my lateness in asking, but this has been hurting my head.
Thank you for your time,
SykkNyzz
