The Last Release of Legacy OS based on Puppy 2.14

#1 Post by john biles »

Hello Everyone,
Legacy OS Series 2 was created for Pentium 3 and 4 Computers. It's now around 10 years ago the last Pentium 4's rolled off the production line.

The amount of physical hardware suitable for Legacy OS is disappearing at an alarming rate.

So it's time to do one more release and send Legacy OS Series 2 off with a bang!

Much has been happening quietly behind the scenes.

Little details to make doing tasks easier have been improved.

I'm not going to list all that has changed but as an example of improvements the last release will include "One Click Install" of Legacy OS approved Applications. In ROX just right mouse click on a Tar.gz file of the Application you want to install and the Application will be installed, the Menu updated all ready to use. Easy!

Release Date is near hopefully July.
