I am using slacko 5.6 and it doesn't have wicd. If I try to install it there are a lot of missing dependencies - it seems to need python, cairo etc etc. Is that worth all the effort?

I am successful with Wicd installed on Shiba Inu, a Puppy from 'americanos del sur' brains. El nombre del jibaro es Josejp2424.

This morning it was available. Passengers won't explain why it works or not. A pure Hazard.

Re: wireless disconnect problems

Wireless cards can have their own power saving settings that might differ from your general power saving settings.

Not sure about Puppies, but a common choice is to add something like

options ath9k ps_enable=0

to /etc/modeprobe.d/ath9k.conf to toggle the wireless power saving to off

It's brain storming, Wicd is neither more efficient than Frisbee, nor less
If effort, give up.
