Subject description: changing an about:config setting to help improve speed

https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/662dxm/psa_hardware_acceleration_on_firefox_may_be/

If you find Firefox sluggish, you may try this :

In about:config :
look for layers.acceleration.force-enabled and double-click it to true.

What it does :
With this setting enabled, you have hardware acceleration enabled, and Firefox may be more responsive.

Firefox 57 will have hardware acceleration enabled by default.

You do not have to go into the about:config section to activate this in Firefox.

You can go to -Preferences- -Advanced- -General-, and then tick the box that says -use hardware acceleration when available-.
