Axel - light download accelerator

#1 Post by PurpleMarble »

I used this on Debian and I couldn't find it for Puppy Linux, so I created a pet.

It attempts to speed up the download process by downloading it from multiple mirrors if available. Works well in my experience

I have tested this on a fresh install of 32-bit Slacko 6.3, no dependencies needed.

EDIT: I haven't compiled the GUI front end. I may do so on the future if there is a demand for it.

Also included in many Puppies. Should be in your PPM.

I did some searches, and it wasn't in there. Oh well, sorry about that.
