email client for new yahoo protocols??

My faithful Thunderbird is blocked by au.yahoo.com who've upgraded their protocols recently, and provide no linux client. It's too much to remember all my passwords and login frequently enough to keep abreast of my mail. Can't step back to old protocols either. Swine!!! Why change things that work???

American here; I can access my yahoo account just fine with Fossamail (which is a fork of thunderbird).

Thunderbird 3.1 works with yahoo.com

My server settings are
Connection security: SSL/TLS
Authentication method: Normal password
Port: 993

What was the error message?

What are the new protocols? Are you using imap?
