Acer travelmate 2420 with onboard Invilink (broadcom?.. - or drivers at least) wifi g card . Not really sure what info from the drivers may be relevant, or helpful but did see driver ver 3.100. 46.0 come up alot. Checked out a link that seemed to show a lot of wifi stuff using that driver version (see below).

Puppy ver 2.12 ended up loading ipw2100 to make it work (doesn't correspond with Broadcom.. afaik?).

note: ..couldn't seem to get a link working so copying & pasting the driver ver 3.100. 46.0 info..

Anyone know why a Broadcom wifi chipset appears to be working with a ipw2100 driver?

ipw 2100 shows to be - "pci: intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Drive" & was auto loaded by the puppy ethernet wizard.

Turns out (dug a little deeper) that this computer may have one of 3 diff type onboard wifi cards & mine has the intel one,

Hence ipw2100 (intel) driver works, which 2.12 (& works in 2.13 too Very Happy) picked up on & installed with the wizard. Cool
