Can Audacious play CDs ?
I guess you are meaning whether audacious is able to play audio CD's ?
Yes of course it is.
Pcd shows CD titles, Audacious does not.
Audacious supports both CD text reading and CDDB request by default.
Both is working flawless

billtoo get titles with Audacious.
pCD m, so my Cd is not the cause... Don't worry about that
:twisted: what i would like, is taht a UK root (administrator, compiler, linux expert) compile audacious 3.7.2 with GTK2, our french Linux expert did it, but keep it for himself, does not share it. With a little help from our friends from commonwealth, We could pass through his veto !

Just downloaded the source and got it to compile with gtk2. Easy enough Pelo. On you go. ;-)

Good practice for you. Will keep you busy and maybe even useful.

It's worse than chinese tu understand how-to for compile.

My english dictionary only contains common translations, not linux jargon. It's worse than chinese to understand how-to for compile.
Perhaps 10% of Puppy Users can write in English, but 0.01% can write Linux English for compilers.

Biltoo, you create lot of pets, they would like that each user cooks himself his own pets, that is not so easy, is it ? .

@Pelo
To be able to play Audio CD's and to read CD text make sure that libcdio is installed.
For connection to CDDB you will need additional libcddb.

The solution was to set preferences for freedb.freedb.org to 80 instead 8080
