Subject description: rt2800 in Network Wizard

Hello Folks

I have a Ralink wireless pci card that works in Windows XP (but not very well, likely due to positioning - but that's another matter.) I haven't been successful using it in puppy although I have not tried often. Rolling Eyes
I intend putting the card into a new box, hence some troubleshooting before I do.

Network Wizard shows the card as wlan0 and the driver as rt2800, but I can't connect to my neighbour's router (permission given).

partial output from lspci shows:

02:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Ralink corp. RT3062 Wireless 802.11n 2T/2R [1814:3062]
Subsystem: Ralink corp. RT3062 Wireless 802.11n 2T/2R [1814:3062]
Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV+ VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx-
Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=slow >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx-
Latency: 64 (500ns min, 1000ns max), Cache Line Size: 64 bytes
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 16
Region 0: Memory at fdce0000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 3
Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1- D2- AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot-,D3cold-)
Status: D0 NoSoftRst- PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME-
Kernel driver in use: rt2800pci

As is evident, the kernel driver is rt2800 and the chip is rt3062.

I have googled without success.
provides this link to the latest driver which is compatible with Linux, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.
but I keep going in circles. Confused

Seeking suggestions - what to do? Thanks!
Update-7:39 pm

I remembered that the PCI card was a Nexxt ion 300. Eventually, I got to the Nexxt website where I found these 2 files.
Ion 300 Software and Driver Windows 7 and previous versions. | Size: 36.6 MB |
ion 300 updated Software | Size: 28.6 MB
I was anxious to prevent any of you guys wasting your time in what may be a useless search, as I thought these files would give more tangible results. So, I came back tas quickly as I could to advise not to continue with your searches. All I can say at this point is that they are .rar files. I'll be back with more when I open them.
More anon

[EDIT] 9:33 pm

Provides 32-bit PCI interface; so looks like any 64 bit puppy won't be able to connect with it.

The decompressed ion_300_software_and_driver_windows_7_and_previous_versions.rar has a Linux directory with Makefile, c files, header files and build instructions to produce the driver: rt3562sta.o/rt3562sta.ko.
