A my friend who use lucid puppy told to me that pupdial reported to him the "Voice line detected" error using his internet usb dongle. The problem was a not right detected modem device by the auto probe script. Changing the device from ttyUSB4 to ttyUSB3 (or something like this) was the solution. I report this here for further bugs discover.

I have tried probing all ttys from ttyUSB0 upto ttyUSB4 but only one of them detects modem although the Voice line detected is still the result. I think this modem is not being supported by linux drivers

Try this:

In this thread, a couple of users have confirmed it works:

I am still connecting this way at random times when wired Internet is out of service or too slow to get simple tasks done.

I came across this post: https://www.lourdas.name/blog/zte-mf667-3g-usb-modem-and-linux But it says: "For these instructions to work, the kernel must be configured to include support for Multi-purpose USB Networking Framework (Device Drivers -> Network device support -> USB Network Adapters), the module is called usbnet and CDC Ethernet support (which is under the previous key, Multi-purpose USB Networking Framework), the module is called cdc_ether. Having these compiled in or as modules, will make this 3G modem work flawlessly."
how do I check this in puppy please. I don't know any linux commands to check those system requirements.

Try:

Code:
modprobe cdc_ether
modprobe usbnet

It works in slacko 6.3.0 32 bit and kernel 3.14.55. I don't know about tahr 6.0.5.

Appreciate you all for your help but I'll just buy a linux-support modem. I'd advice enyone else not to waste their time with this type of nonsense but rather do some research before purchasing modem(s) to ensure they will work on linux based computers.
