As I have been unsuccessful so far creating a Puppy from Woof-CE, I thought I'd share a toy or two that I keep on my desktop. So far, only one but I'll be updating over time.

Need YAD installed. Most puppies have it. If you don't know, type yad in the terminal.

Drive Index Creator - v 8jj
This pet installs under Menu --> Business or you can type index8jj in terminal to start.
This program creates an index of all mounted drives. Note: You must always choose (1) when you first run the program unless it identifies that it previously ran.
You can then do sub-searches to narrow down what you're looking for.
Then, you can do a copy of those select files to a different directory.
I use it often on my Windows7 box, as I save things all over the place. It helps me organize. It's also nice if you just want to grab all the .doc files, .jpg files, mp3 files or whatever off a computer or external drive.
So it's basically a carving utility with an indexing on top.
I chose not to make a gui on this one, as I feel this can slow down a program.
It takes about 2 or 3 minutes to index about 1 TB of info. Not the fastest but it does the job.

Below is a link to the Virtual Keyboard XVKBD2 which is found elsewhere on these boards. Not mine but I enhanced it by putting a little keyboard on the pinboard and combining the dependencies.
The reasoning behind adding a desktop icon for this was simple. If I needed a virtual keyboard, then one or more keys on my keyboard aren't working. So point an click as much as possible makes sense to me.
Just a quick tip on how to use: Let's say you open the terminal and want to use the virtual keyboard there. Open the terminal, open the Virtual Keyboard and click on Focus. Then click on your focused part (ie the terminal next to the #). Then go back to the virtual keyboard and start clicking.

Drives1 Pet: I'm not great at remembering commands so I sometimes like to simplify some basic things. This has no GUI and all it does is list the drive space of all mounted drives.
So, you simply go to the terminal and type: drives1
It shows your filesystem two different ways and total space.
Most of my scripts go to /root/my-applications/bin. This one, as well.
