qtractor 7.0, is in the new release of Studio 1337,
and it now supports vst-shell plugins, (those installing multiple plugins at once) so the linux ports of world class U-he synths like Zebra, Diva, Hive,
Bazille, Filterscape, and Ace, should work well.
Zebra also installs the free 'Zebralette',
and they have another free synth, Podolski, that is excellent.
These linux ports use a nice bash install script, so package-management/wine are not involved. Downloads at

Glad to see the Aqualung player, as it keeps it's jack connection between
takes, or songs, great for track layering/mastering, when running a daw app is not desired.
Looks like a great update, of a great audio production system.
