Hey, I'm happy to be joining. I've used Puppy off and on for years, and love it.

Google marked your letter as spam. here is the link describing their reasons:

Yeah it's certainly an annoyance - I don't look forward to rescuing my daily Murga forum notifications from gmail's spam box. The problem is known, but I thought it would have been fixed by now: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=866493&search_id=1375989691#866493 Re-tuning the spam filter does NOT solve the problem Sad

[Man: Sshh, dear, don't cause a fuss. I'll have your spam. I love it. I'm having spam spam spam spam spam spam spam beaked beans spam spam spam and spam!]

This same problem was discussed a few weeks ago. I can't remember if it was solved.

Not solved. I reported this problem twice. I keep re-tuning gmail's spam filter daily, but it doesn't help.

Also I think someone said that if you add the forum to your contacts, Gmail won't think it's a spammer.

Yairs - right in one - and here's the secondary source I used http://www.detritus.org/spam/skit.html. As step has pointed out, adding the Murga forum to your gmail contacts list doesn't stop the mis-direction into spam. Trying SFR's suggested approach and will post back any success. Hopefully this thread can be considered an ex-parrot Smile

I can confirm that adding john@murga.com to my google contacts didn't fix the problem. I want to try SFR's suggestion.

Right, I had no forum messages in my inbox today, even though some threads I subscribe to have been active. Perhaps John has suspended subscription updates?

YES! SFR's solution does work - I get my Murga posts correctly slotted into my "forums" folder as per previously, albeit now with the warning dialogue "This message was not sent to Spam because of a filter you created. Edit Filters". I think we can call this thread [solved]?

Yes, I can confirm that SFR's solution works for me too.
@Je55eah - can you change the thread title to include "SOLVED"? TIA

Thank you, SFR
