Hi, I see there are no posts about the Belkin PCI wireless card F5D7001. It has a Broadcom BCM43xx chipset.
It's a card that my father has on his Winblows PC. I tried to boot it with Puppy 2.10 to see wether the wifi worked or not.
I just copied from Belkin driver CD the bcmwl5.inf file into a folder and the ndiswrapper trick did the job.
I then had to run WaG and write my lan SSID , IP, Gateway IP in autoconnect profile (or was it template profile? I don't remember but I think it doesn't matter) in order to get connected.
I only tested it for an hour more or less and the connection didn't drop.
I have read somewhere that some people use the bcmwl5a.inf and not the bcmwl5.inf that I used. I used the latter because the former has a "Chicago" signature (= supercrappy Win95) and I preferred to use the other with a "WindowsNT" signature.
I hope my post will be useful to those who want to buy a used card (I don't know if the F5D7001 is still commercialized) or are scared about configuring linux. I am not a linux guru yet I found the whole job very simple.
