I setup and was running puppy528.7 without difficulty. However, I lost my save-file and its backup. I don't remember what Nvidia driver I was using, how I got it, and where it came from. As usual my notes aren't any help!
I am running with a Nvidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 graphics card.
How do I find out which Nvidia driver I need?
Where can I find the correct driver?
I have gone back to puppy528.6 until I can get puppy528.7 running again.
Crashed, lost Nvidia driver -- how to replace it?

Hi...
Was it the 173 by any chance? Puppy should have that available in the package manager.

don922,
I provide a link to the nvidia drivers in the third posting of the lupu 5.2.8.7 thread, whcih starts here:http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 518#739518
In lucid pup, click the Quickpet icon, then select the Drivers tab. There, you can test your video card to see which driver it needs. Then go to the link in the above-mentioned posting for the appropriate driver. Only the initial number of the version is important. You do not always need the latest version. And, of course, others have made them available, too, and they should work as well.
