#1 Post by playdayz »

Playdayz, the former coordinator of Lucid Puppy Linux, would like to announce a new project, Long Time Thinking.

Long Time Thinking is dedicated to the practice of clear, creative, reasonable, useful, powerful, compassionate, healthy, far-seeing, loving, kind, responsible, artistic, playful, respectful, poetic, serious thinking on a variety of subjects.

It is a "blogsite" meaning it has a blog and a few other things, even some music, more to come. There is an assortment of 7 or so blog entries there currently. The hidden agenda is to use the writing to finish a book, and, if the site gets any Likes, Shares, Comments, etc., to use those to try to get the book published. As you might expect, Privacy is a priority: No tracking, no spyware, no ads, no spam.

Long Time Thinking --> http://longtimethinking.com

Thanks and best to all.

I had a read of some of the posts. Very thoughtful.

Yes, the carrying capacity of the earth is a concern to us all.
Amongst many other things :(

I'm over 60 also. And I left home when I was 19 as well. So your writing resonates.

Incidentally: good job on Lucid 5.2.8. I installed it two years ago on a machine for my sister and she is still using it without me having to do any interventions beyond java updates.

Some clear and meaningful insight! 8) But use with care. As billions of people around the world demonstrate daily, "Ignorance is bliss." The opposite can also be true. :cry:

As for the elephant in the room, there's been a bloody elephant convention going on in that room for at least 50 years.

Empathetically Yours, J

I liked the Ursula K. Le Guin quote:
