How to use Broadcom b44 Ethernet card with Trusty Tahr?

Greetings,
I have tried multiple puppies based on trusty tahr and none have detected my broadcom bcm4401 ethernet card. I have not had this problem with any previous puppies. I have tried instructions posted here to load the b44 module to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Do you mean that it won't load or that it loads but won't work?

Are you using a frugal install? Tahrpup keeps its modules in the separate zdrv_tahr_6.0.2.sfs. Have you included it in your install?

It doesn't load at all...however, if I look at hardware info the card is there, but none of the networking setup see the card...they all sat no interface found, which in this case would be eth0 I presume.

You didn't answer my question about the frugal install.

1. Run the command: lsmod. Is b44 listed?
2. Run the command: modprobe b44. Do you get an error?
3. Run the command: lspci -nnk. What do you see for the Ethernet controller?

Yes, it is a frugal install. I didn't realize modules were kept in zdrv_tahr_6.0.2.sfs. I've never had to manually install any sfs's in previous versions for normal system based stuff such as networking.
lsmod...no b44 not listed
modprobe b44...yes error
lspci -nnk...yes the bcm4401 is listed

@claz64: Have you solved your problem?

1. Open the Tahrpup ISO file.
2. Copy the zdrv file to the location of your frugal install.
3. Reboot.

The module is still not loading. I have verified that zdrv_tahr_6.0.2.sfs is in frugal install location. I am writing this on a working slacko frugal install with networking, it seems to be specifically a tahr problem. I have tried a few different tahr spins and the problem is the same across all.
