I need a small VGA-input display

What works, and doesn't, for you. Be specific, and please include Puppy version.

my Samsung SyncMaster 710 is alive (from 2006 ) and kicking on main server right now, remote still has factory battery!!! and its still works :o To bad it weights more than my RV..
I hooked up cableTV and did a scan a bit upset it did not get high def. the I recall oh yeah before its time. Great box.

You are right about desk size it doesn't hang out off one end, and nice to watch 4x3 in correct ratio AGAIN. Had a very old school CRT monitor I used to watch Amazon Prime before linux lost flash support, could view those old tv series in bright CRT glory, miss it sometimes.

Very slow turn-on. You turn it on, get sound immediately, but no video for something on the order of 1/2 hour... Then the video cuts in in sections (once it warms, the 3 horizontal sections turn on fairly quick, relatively -- starting from the bottom).

I pulled the boards, inspected and resoldered all of the connections. It might be something up on edge connector for the LCD, but that's a pain to dig out -- not sure if I can do anything with it. The fact that the backlight comes on, but no video, actually points to the video board (one of the boards I inspected and touched up).

I also have a regular flicker -- the kind that looks like a loose connection -- I'm assuming that may be the edge board on the LCD. I don't recall if I saw any SMT chips that would indicate BGA on the video board...

But for the moment, I've just decided to "live with it"...
