I would love to have an ipx module for the 2.4.27 Kernel
the 2.6 kernel had this module
I would also like to see nwfs as a dot pup

I discussed the ipx with some people on this forum awhile back, and it seemed that ipx wasn't needed, so removed it.
However, it is in the modules-complete-2.4.29.tar.gz file at ibiblio.org, in net/ipx/ directory.
The ipx.o module has two dependencies, p8022.o and psnap.o, and fortunately these are both in Puppy 1.0.4 (so, that's what they're for, I was going to take them out too!).
They have to be loaded in this order:
# modprobe p8022
# modprobe psnap
# insmod path-to-ipx/ipx.o
However, just "modprobe psnap" will also load p8022.o.
Also, if you copied ipx.o to /lib/modules/2.4.29/net/ then ran depmod,
you should be able to do "modprobe ipx" and all three will load.
...but, depmod is a nuisance to do at every bootup as it takes awhile
to complete.

NWFS netware file system
I guess I meant ncpfs (would cut it down and compress with upx)
+with the novel client GUI or the netwhere client (tcl) gui
there seems to be no live cd that has novell connectivity ?
Thanks Barry I am trying 1.0.4 now

LOL.....dumb me.....I did a course a few years ago on Netware admin and then decided to forget it all...Linux was/is more accessible and damn sight cheaper...Thing is to implement what you want to stage where it works is that whoever takes the challenge would have to have access to a Netware server and at least one windows client......Unfortunately I think I may have thrown away the newtware discs I had.

mars nwe will emulate a nw server
I have as yet tried it
ipx is not really needed in my environment
I am having trouble with the novel client running in puppy (I folder looks like it will not be available to me any time soon)
side note x2370 works great in puppy for connection to legacy mainframe apps
