Seamonkey 2.30 can't retain default browser status (SOLVED)

#1 Post by B.K. Johnson »

Seamonkey 2.30 is not retaining its status as the default browser. I change it via Edit > Preferences > Browser and then click the Set default Browser button. It tells me that it has been set as the default browser but when I close and immefiately reopen it is back to the old setting, inviting me to ser the browser as the default.

And I can't do anything about Palemoon. It grabs and displsys every html file I click on, no matter what its settings.

Could this be related to the discovery here?

I am guessing you are running Tahrpup 6.0 CE because of the Palemoon reference.

Try this:
menu->Setup->Default Application Chooser
Change browser to Seamonkey.

Also, default HTML viewer can be selected,
Setting it to defaultbrowser usually relates to the browser setting,
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected :shock:
YaPI(any iso installer)
