Cleanup bottom right icons

It looks like these don't work in Puppy 5.7.0 as they do in 5.6.0.

Code: Select all

I would like to delete the battery charge indicator

Try to move/delete the file /root/Startup/powerapplet_tray

and the red graph like icon in the far right corner.

In /root/.jwmrc-tray remove or comment out
Code:
      <Swallow name="xload" width="32">
         xload -nolabel -bg "#888888" -fg red -hl white
      </Swallow>
I would also like to delete the "personal storage glass" in the right bottom corner as well.

These? The second one should still work.

For all other applets run
/usr/sbin/wmstartups
Since 5.7 Slacko doesn't use /root/startup anymore. See /root/.config/autostart/README.TXT

Thanks a lot.

I am really trying to get Puppy 5.7.0 to replace 5.6.0.

I am having a lot of problems with 5.6.0.

(I considered looking into using gdb to find out why the mozilla based browsers are exhibiting their bizarre quirks.)

I am having a lot of problems with 5.6.0.

I don't think they are any hardware issues, the only new thing I have added the last 6 months is a web cam.

All the hardware works O.K. with the "other O.S." :-)

I am doing my homework.

The .desktop files look similar to .ini files. :-)
