hp printer d6160 - slacko - special package

#1 Post by canin »

hello,

using slacko 5.7 im unable to use my printer hp photosmart d6160, but when i use slacko 5.6 it works flawlessly.
so i do reboot my laptop now, printing document stored on a usb-stick.

i read in a thread here on murga, that someone recommended a special package (use xy?a instead of the xy?b, thats the only version eher worked for me) and i believe, i installed this older driver?package and it worked in slacko 5.6. (but maybe i read it for saluki, dont know anymore  )
i also do believe, that i used another ppd driver in 5.6: (a series 700 driver instead of series 6100) - where can i look that up in cups webpage?
:?: can someone hint me, which package that was or can someone confirm, that i remember right :?:

thx a lot

Hi...

Just a thought: There may not be enough of a difference between the two to really affect what you need otherwise, so it might be easier to just stick with 5.6.

Apart from that, I don't really have an answer. :(
