Sounds exciting.
I use Fatdog.
I currently do not have the hardware to test it out.
But I will get back to you pretty soon.
Thanks.

RouterMaker test
I have the hardware but not the the time this weekend.
I may be able to free up some time next weekend.
Router:
Asus EEPC 701
Runs puppy Linux 528
Client:
Cell phone
Is this test a good one for early work or do you want to get easier tests done first?

EDIT:
I had earlier posted hostapd plus bridge-utils applications-
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=84269
but rcrsn51 has now extended the idea of wifi access point to full wifi router functionality.
So I have just updated the other thread to include a link to this thread.

470 views after, I'm a bit confused that the person whose idea sparked rcrsn51 to create this tool hasn't posted a single comment here.
That being said, this is a useful tool on its own. It hides the black magic of iptables and dnsmasq into a simple, easy to use command.

I didn't see this thread till today. I've been looking at this;
http://roaming-initiative.com/blog/about/
I'm not sure if the project described and this are related because of the lack of interest that got the original post removed and my lack of knowledge.
I have a Verizon Fios MI424WR router which is ethernet and wifi capable. I also have an old spare Dell box connected to the router via ethernet that I can use to tinker with.
What is the purpose of routermaker? I did not see the post that prompted the creation of this tool. Is it possible to use a PC or laptop instead of a conventional router to be part of a "mesh" as described by the Roaming Initiative project?
Thanks.

Not speaking on behalf of rcrsn51, but I think the thread that inspired him is this one: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=94343.chapchap70 wrote:What is the purpose of routermaker?
