[Puppy2.11] Upgrading GioveLUG Edu 1.00 -> 1.10 issues

#1 Post by slapshot »

Hi all,

GioveLUG Edu 1.00 and 1.10 are both derived from Puppy 2.11. So I was expected that changing cd boot I had new wallpapers, new menu voice and new software TuxPaint I added. Well, it is not properly so because I changed this cd to Fun House kids and background desktop image was the same, menu voice was not added. But, in a terminal, I was able to run TuxPaint of course, the new software I added.

I'm right now trying on my virtual machine simulating the same thing and I don't have this behaviour, I mean I have new menu voice, new background image I chose and new icons on the desktop of TuxPaint software.

I thought also to try editing Puppyversion file to modify 211 value with 210 and force an upgrade as MU showed me some time ago.

Someone can explain me why this happened ?
Bye
