Can't access printer cleaning functions

#1 Post by fixit »

I have a Canon MG2220 printer and it works fine but I have no access to any of the cleaning functions that are available in Windows.

Is there a fix for that ?

Please describe, in detail, how you installed the driver for your printer.

That's true of most printers.

Not true. The vast majority of recent consumer-grade printers can be installed in Linux.
I installed the driver as per a previous post.

That link was for setting up your scanner.

Dead issue as I will be receiving a Brother HL 2240 Monochrome Laser Printer next week.

I got fed up with frequent refilling of my printer cartridges.

I will keep the Canon MG 2220 for it's scanner function.
