As I didn't succeed in doing so, I joined Homebank support.
It appears that it is possible, but there is need for libofx, which I didn't find in Puppy.
Looking through Google I saw that it only exist in the source format, so it should be compiled first.
Now I don't know how to do this in Puppy.
But if somebody has done this, can the binary be made available?
Else, could this libofx be included in a next version of Puppy?
Homebank as it is now isn't practical to use, but it looks nice and not to complicated for a Personal Home Finance system.

Time savers:
Find packages in a snap and install using Puppy Package Manager (Menu).

As no-one came along and altho I don't no anything about compiling I tried anyway.
Downloaded libofx source) and started to compile.
Error: OpenSP was needed.
Downloaded OpenSP and started the compile.
Error: xmlto was needed.
Downloaded xmlto and compiled.
Error, but I don't quite understand.
I can't reproduce the output as the PC I compile on has no internet connection.
Hope somebody more knowledgeable can do the task.

The OFX schema is quite simple. I created an OFX loader some time ago when I was writing my own personal finances software.
The downside is that I created it in C#.
I haven't used Homebank but I am sure it wouldn't be too difficult to implement. As I said the loading was quite easy.

it needs to be compiled to support that feature. ... just rebuild from source if you need ofx. 90% of puppy users don't need it so standard puppy build will exclude it ... ubuntu is bad about supporting every bloated dependency, so I'd recommend trying one of their .debs first.
