Paint programs, vector editors, 3d modelers, animation editors, etc.

Is there a subsitute for paint.net?

I am looking for a replacement for paint.net

Gimp does not cut it.

Will paint.net work in wine?

Unlikely as it uses .net. Although I suppose you could install .net under Wine.
