what IS it and how do I turn it OFF

obviously I clicked something I should not have, perhaps sending something to all desktops

You clicked on Nautilus file manaager which takes over the desktop!!

use either pprocess or restart xserver.

now you tell me. I could not find ANYTHING to show what was going on. I know I was doing the old "let's see what THIS does" thang hehe. I just said fuggit and deleted the save file and started over. If NOTHING ELSE I'm getting REALLY good at configuring browswers and OS's. sigh
and now Mint on the other laptop has gone buggy.

thanks. but somehow that blue screen with proggie menu got set to come on everytime I booted up. Not sure it was nautilus
