How to have a non-root account in Slacko 5.6?

#1 Post by fixit »

Is it possible to have a non-root account in Puppy Slacko 5.6 ?

A while back, I remember deleting a directory that I think would be used as by non-root account. :-(

Thanks.

This info may help you.
file: usr/share/doc/root.htm
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

Thanks.

Code: Select all

Note, at the time of writing, Puppy offers only Didiwiki personal blog running as spot and Seamonkey optionally running as spot -- you can choose your level of web-browsing danger, via the Login and Security Manager in the System menu.
A fork of Puppy, FatDog64, features all Internet applications running as spot.
I have no Login and Security manager so I can run as spot.
