The reason why you can no longer download the shared files is because you have fully used up the assigned bandwidth on your account which is 10GB. Free accounts are given 10GB of bandwidth they can use per month. Once the limit has been reached download will not longer be available. Wait for your bandwidth assignment to get reset next month and you can go back to downloading the files.

Jejy69's original link no longer works - uploaded the kde4.10.1 sfs to
kde4.10.1.sfs

Re: Mirrored....
I'm posting from Precise 5.7.1 using latest SeaMonkey. Box.com seems to have issues similar to what happened with an SFS I uploaded not long ago:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 416#755416
This is different from E-Nautia because the download is not started at all.
I'll see if I have the file in one of my backup CD's (probably not) to upload it somewhere else, too.

It works for Precise 5.7.1 but I haven't tested others. Wherever you are now thank you, Jejy.

KDE for puppy
Downloading...would give a try in Lxpup and compizpup 14.03,
what are the maximum number of modules that puppy can load? I might be wrong but compared to SLAX or PORTEUS, puppy is quite limited in the number of modules it can load..
Would be nice to include Qbundlemerge... a slax module merger...
That way one can download many SLAX modules and merge them into one large module if every thing works out...
This way Puppy can be converted into SLAPPY !!!
EDIT: from compizpup 14.03 based on puppy slacko 5.7
Please post and update pet to sort the menu -> lost and found
Also, puppy tray icons not working

Jejy69 is no longer active in Puppy so is unlikely to issue any updates....for LxPpup/CompizPup try:bombayrockers wrote:Please post and update pet to sort the menu -> lost and found

no kde-4-applications.menu was found in /etc/xdg/menu
the
renaming the lxde-application.menu did not work....
copy pasting para from kde menu editor handbook.... kindly decipher
"KMenuEdit stores the menu hierarchy in $HOME /.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu and $HOME /.local/share/desktop-directories contains desktop files for submenus you created. In $HOME /.local/share/applications/ you find the desktop files for the custom items
you created.
The shortcuts for each application are stored in ~/.kde/share/config/kglobalshortcutsrc, but export/import does not work because the UUIDs of the shortcuts do not match up between systems, even though the .desktop files are the same. You have to assign all shortcuts manually
again."

Lxpup menu for KDE
After some searching found that kmenu is using application.menu stored in /etc/kde/xdg//menus
rename the applications.menu to .bak
create a link using dolphin called applications.menu and link it with /etc/xdg/menus/lxde-applications.menu
change the file type options, remove the existing file name patterns and add *.menu -> in description write menu file and click apply.
login again and you should have the lxpup menu in kde, any apps installed will automatically reflect here as we have created a link to the original lxde-applications.menu

KDE 4.12.3
An SFS to add KDE 4.12.3 to LxPup14.03 or Slacko5.7 is available from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/lxpup/f ... s/download
After installing onto LxPup14.03 you must use Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to get to terminal and then type xwin startkde (otherwise the systray will disappear)
Constructed by merging Jejy69's kde4.10.1 with the Porteus KDE module:
http://dl.porteus.org/i486/current/modules/003-kde.xzm
Quite a few known problems which I'll list here as I remember or find them:
- panel items not in right order
- some puppy icons missing in menus
- some strange right-click options displayed
- not sure Dolphin is correctly integrated with removable device management (PcManFM is OK if based on LxPup)
I don't think I like KDE from either a UI or a developer point of view - it's far too complicated to get configured nicely......so not sure I will be doing much more to this unless there's a real demand - but if other people identify fixes then I'll include them in the sfs. The sfs could subsequently be used to create a K-Pup iso fairly easily but needs to be polished before it's fit to do so.
Cheers

how to add typical KDE app's
How to add app's
Typical app's I would like to add
Calligra (esp. ~ words)
Parley
Marble
Merkaartor v0.18. (v0.18.2 or 3? able to show BIM-satellit-view in the background)
Kturtle
Kopete + Skype
Konqueror, the actual version from Kubuntu 14.04 (seems to work)
Best if if would work with SARA-B from RSH because you can increase the number of SFS's as you want...

...let' see...
All what you need, is:
SARA-B
- to be found in Forum Utilities
A .desktop File (for SARA-B or SFS P.L.U.S.)
- to be named as kdestarter.desktop and to be copied to /usr/share/applications inside of the KDE SFS Module
Code: Select all
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=Run KDE Desktop Environment
Name[de]=Starte KDE Arbeitsfläche
Comment=Run KDE Desktop Environment
Comment[de]=Starte KDE Arbeitsfläche
Icon=kde.png
Exec=/usr/bin/new-kde-starter
Terminal=false
Categories=WMSettings;DesktopSettings;
- to be named as new-kde-starter and to be copied to /usr/bin inside of the KDE SFS Module
Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash -a
restartwm "startkde"
When doing this, just select the kdestarter.desktop file to create a SARA-RSD Application - you need only this one!
