Which video editor should I use?

#1 Post by slenkar »

I want to do some simple animations kinda like south park in complexity.
Can I use a video editor to move pictures around the screen or should I use blender?

The latest quirky with Ubuntu repository.
Im thinking that I might just use openshot and put sounds with still images, kind of like a comicstrip with sound.

Gimp makes a gif animation very easily.
It's explained on the internet.

(Mtpaint also makes gif animation but doesn't have all the tools
that gimp has. )gif animation

Then convert to mpeg format and put a
soundtrack to the video using cinelerra.

thanks for the suggestions, I was already familiar with blender and just needed to learn how to add sounds and get sprite transparency.
