You can edit fixmenus script to run fluxbox_menu_refresh automatically.
Thumbs up for fluxbox puppy, I'll add it to my testing list, fluxbox is my favorite wm so far.
I did fix this now using the pet that you have provided.

I loaded amarok sfs from here using sfs_load and it runs, listening to online streams atm. Simple gtk radio also works.
This is fixed now will open opera to setup mail and also chat.

I tried to resize the savefile but it didn't work.
I have fixed this as well by removing the pet that I used and went back to the one that zigbert did.

All of the ones that I have fixed will be in the Beta release coming in the next week after I write one more program.

Great, I thought as nobody else reported any similar issues it was me. Look forward to running your next release.

Hi oldyeller,

Just discovered this, I will wait and test your beta release since it seems to be about ready. Will you be including your latest Manna program?

Regards,
Jim

Manna will be in the ppm, after I get it done I am in the process of rebuilding it so that it works the way that I see it. Just need to learn some more code :D

I do have bibledesktop and Alkitab in the repo along with jre

I don't know much about Bible software but Bible Analyzer 4.8.1.21
runs under wine 1.7.14, I didn't try it with any wine version
available in PPM

How did Billtoo get that 2nd, dare I say "W" like background? I couldn't get Blue Pup working but it would be nice to get that background on FluxPup, if possible. Is there a pet or is that 2nd background built into the Fluxpup?

Thanks,

That screen is an extension to the Chromium web browser, to get the
latest Chromium you need to update Puppy Package Manager (then exit
and restart it), have it search for chromium and choose
chromium-browser_33.0.1750.152
Chromium can't be run as root so you need to edit the hidden
.spot-status file in the root directory, mine looks like this:

opera=false
firefox=false
chromium-browser=false
dillo=false

Once you've edited the .spot-status file save it and then open the terminal
and enter "loginmanager" without the quotes.

The iStart is a free extension to chromium but you need a google
membership to get it.
Under tools/extensions in the chromium menu you can search for iStart
and then choose to download and install it, it's here that you need a
google membership but I think you can get one easily.

I have an Acer Chromebook so I used my google info from that to get
the extension in FluxPup, I run the iStart extension on my Chromebook as well.

More trouble than it's worth maybe but I like Chromium and the iStart
extension so it's the main browser that I use in a couple of other pups as
well.

Billtoo:

Thanks for your help. Your instructions were absolutely spot on! Now, because I am running Fluxbox as a live CD, it will not save my login information and default istart options in Chromium. I understand the risks but do you or does anyone here happen to have a workaround?

By the way, I am really liking Fluxbox. It is working quite well. One think that I just noticed is that it has burniso2cd but only through terminal. I was using PBurn, instead not knowing my usual burner was hiding.

Best,

Slavvo67

My frugal install had all the programs etc. installed that I wanted so
I ran Setup>Remaster Puppy live-CD from the menu (right click on the
desktop to see menu)
I had it create an iso instead of burning the new custom puppy iso to
a DVD right away.
I had added quite a few programs so the iso that was created is 547 MB
in size.
I then burned the new iso to a DVD+RW, then booted it with
"puppy pfix=ram" without quotes.
All the programs that I had added were there
(chromium, kdegames, firefox, dillo, etc.) but I needed to download the iStart
extension again and add my bookmarks to it.
When everything was setup the way I wanted I rebooted and was given to
option to save or not save to the CD (DVD in this case) and I chose
to save to the CD.
On next boot I just booted from the DVD normally at the prompt instead of "puppy
pfix=ram" and it got to the desktop with all my new settings.

This is one method that doesn't involve a savefile on the hard drive
or flash drive and it is working well.

Old Yeller,

This is very nice work. Can I ask what the little circle on the top left is for when I open a "window"? It seems to fill in with gray but I don't see any actions associated with it.

Billtoo: I've always been afraid to re-burn to a CD. I'll give it a shot.

Best regards,

Slavvo67

I know what you are talking about when clicked on I think a menu is to show, but instead it shows when you right click on the window.

I will be uploading FluxPup 1.5beta on Friday using it right now, but I need to do another build and than test it before uploading.

Cheers

Billtoo:

Your save to CD worked and I now have the Google i-start default. Strangely, when I used the utility to create a bootable USB, it defaulted back to regular Google splash pages even using though I used the new iso. Not the end of the world but I was wondering if you had seen this before and if maybe there's a workaround.

Best,
