Install sfs-package and puppy-save file

#1 Post by friendofjane »

Hi,

I have a question about installing sfs files.
This seems to me a comfortable way to install bigger programs as LibreOffice etc.

But, when I install such a package, must I enlarge the puppy-save file before I install a sfs file, or is a sfs-install independant of the puppy-safe file size ?

Thank you.

The sfs files mount and don't effect the save file. But, depending on the program, is might create some setup files files or cache files when you start running them, which would go into the save file.

Download the SFS files to

/mnt/home

That is the usual location programs look for them.

/mnt/home is outside of the save file, so does not affect it.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
