New wellminded Puppy Linux Search Engine |
|
As wellminded.com is no more I have created another one based on the original. The only difference being that the app search covers more Puppy sites than the original.
Why not bookmark http://wellminded.net63.net/ as your new Puppy Linux search engine.

I like to wget the whole forum and grep it. LOL - Not really but I would have a better chance of finding things that way!
I think you can actually use Google and use puppy linux in the search box with anything else your searching for, like: Puppy Linux Wi-Fi

If you'll list each post that has a dead link, I'll remove them. You can find the URL of a specific post by hovering your cursor over the little rectangle to the left of the word "Posted" at the top left of the post in question. Right click, choose "Copy link location," then paste that URL.

On the original first post, the "Wellminded" link has been down for a month now.
Also, the "puppylinux.org" search one doesn't lead to anywhere beyond a 404 not found error.
The others work.
Greets!

Great Search Tip from rufwoof |
|
Hi all,
Edit: With Wellminded often not working, I've begun to rely on the following which, IIRC, Geoffrey posted, but I can't seem to find it on this thread:
https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=015995643981050743583%3Aabvzbibgzxo&q=#gsc.tab=0
also,
I thought this idea by rufwoof was worth memorializing: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=968574#968574
"If you use google search, adding site:murga-linux.com to the end of your search string helps refine the search. That's what I used and it showed that link/post as one of the first few in the search results list
Code:
+william +sd +card +boot site:murga-linux.com
"
Obviously, replace "+william +sd +card +boot" with your own search terms.
