Hi all
I’m trying Puppy Slacko 5.5 from live CD (on a Dell laptop Pentium 1,60 GHz, 512 MB RAM) and having problem when connecting with Huawei Internet key Model E1692 HSDPA USB.
Pc connects to the Internet but connection is VERY slow and pc freezes.
Since Slacko 5.5 works fine without the Huawei, my best guess is that there must be a problem with driver pre-installed in Slacko.
Is there a way to use the Internet key driver provided by Huawei (hopefully better than the one on distro) without having to install first the distro on hard disk?
My goal is to check I can connect well before installing the distro.
Thanks in advance
How to use a different wireless driver with a live CD?

Michael, please don't ask the same question several places in the forum. If you think your original thread about this topic got off on the wrong track, say so there before you start a new thread. Better yet, continue the discussion in that thread. Thanks.
